MEET LINDSI SEKULA

LS Headshot

Lindsi Sekula’s journey is one of resilience, determination, and a lifelong commitment to serving others. Raised in Western Massachusetts, she learned early on the value of hard work and perseverance. At just 16, she struck out on her own, earning her GED and continuing her education at Holyoke Community College, all while becoming DEEC licensed in Early Childhood Education. As a young single mother of two, living paycheck to paycheck in federally subsidized housing, Lindsi struggled, but instead of letting these hardships define her she pushed forward with determination. These early experiences instilled in her a unique understanding of the challenges many families face and have inspired her to drive meaningful change.

Lindsi’s professional path reflects that same determination and heart. For over a decade, she worked as an Early Childhood Educator, leading toddler and preschool classrooms with care and purpose. She later transitioned into healthcare, where she spent six years at Baystate Health, serving as both a Practice Associate and Insurance Specialist, helping families navigate complex healthcare systems. In 2018, her passion for public service led her to Easthampton City Hall, where she became Executive Assistant to Mayor Nicole LaChapelle. In this role, Lindsi’s leadership, creativity, and tireless work ethic have flourished.

Her impact on the city is clear. She has spearheaded the rebranding and modernization of Easthampton’s website, making vital services more accessible to residents. She’s helped guide city staff through the immense challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic with empathy, clarity, and steady leadership. And she continues to invest in her growth and leadership skills, participating in respected programs like Leadership Pioneer Valley and the MMA Suffolk University Leadership Program, which she will complete this spring.

Lindsi’s story is not just about professional achievement — it’s deeply personal. As a mother of three — Jordan, a recent EHS graduate; Dominyk, a freshman athlete at EHS; and Brinley, who will soon begin kindergarten — she knows firsthand what it means to fight for a better future. Whether she’s cheering on her son from the bleachers, fundraising for local teams, or enjoying quiet moments by Nashawannuck Pond with her family, her connection to Easthampton runs deep and drives her desire to create a better city for current residents and future generations.

Now, Lindsi is ready to take the next step — running for Mayor to continue the work she’s already begun: building a stronger, more inclusive, and more vibrant Easthampton for all.
